Mental health charity, Imagine Independence, and the LFC Foundation are working together to encourage people to beat the blues and go RED this Blue Monday (21st January) by joining them for a brew at Imagine’s office on Hope Street. The 21st January has been claimed to be the most depressing day of the year – the date when the Christmas excitement has faded, new year’s resolutions have been broken, the cold weather has set in and credit card bills are landing on doorsteps, with the January payday still feeling far away. Dealing with challenges like these can have a significant…
Urbanista went along to enjoy a Goodfellas prison dinner, a feast at Bitter Social. Bitter Social is the latest hipster joint on the block, located within Liverpool’s oldest prison and Grade 2 listed building, The Bridewell. Originally constructed in 1857, the site was used as a Liverpool’s main lock up for 130 years. Tunnels still remain underneath the prison leading to the old courts at St. George’s Hall and to the docks. A place steeped in history, you might say! If you want to experience it you have to hurry, they’re only there until April! The venue is really stunning,…
