State of the art technology
Catch a Glimpse 4D have invested in the latest Voluson S10 Expert technology including HD and HD live which allows the Sonographer to manipulate the images and ensure full imaging coverage of the foetus. They offer an early reassurance scan which determines the baby’s heartbeat and its position to ensure that the foetus is within the uterus, ruling out the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy.
Experienced & Qualified Midwife
Jen’s experience as a Midwife and qualified Sonographer allows Catch a Glimpse to establish the measurements of the baby from crown to rump, which will provide parents with the gestational age and an estimated expected due date.
Studies have shown that the early stages of pregnancy can be very stressful for expectant mothers; both the condition of their pregnancy as well the health and well-being of the foetus. These are understandable causes of concern; especially for women who fall under the high-risk category. Women over the age of 40 or women who have had previous complications and/or miscarriage are particularly vulnerable to this type of stress.
Early Assurance to chat with a midwife
Catch a Glimpse 4D offer a personalised service which takes into account the accumulated stresses of pregnancy. They have 30-minute appointment timeslots to ensure that parents are not rushed, have the time to relax and be given the reassurance they need.
Unique to Catch a Glimpse is their ambient gender reveal lighting which provides a calming and relaxing space for parents whilst ascertaining the gender of their expectant child.
After each scan, Catch a Glimpse 4Dwill provide a detailed report containing all diagnostic information obtained during the 4D scan. It’s even possible to send these images directly to the parent’s devices using a Cloud-based app called Tricefy.
The ethos of Catch a Glimpse 4D is to provide fully comprehensive and pertinent obstetric information to all expectant parents. The aim is to give a reassuring and bespoke service so that parents get the information they need, with professionals who understand their concerns and delivered in an environment catered for their relaxation.
Jen states: “In 2011 I qualified as a midwife, having taken some time to have my first child Aimee. In 2016 I qualified as a sonographer and practiced as a specialist midwife sonographer at Whiston Hospital. In that time, I have scanned many pregnant women.
“I loved working in the NHS and although demanding it was extremely rewarding. Taking the plunge and actually opening your own business is an extremely daunting process. However, it has always been an ambition of mine to work for myself. I believe my skill set and work background put me in a position where I could offer great service to the pregnant women of the northwest.
“Not only will we be offering private ultrasound services, but we also hope to secure an NHS contract to be able to offer NHS community-based ultrasound services. Pregnancy isn’t an illness and women shouldn’t need to be attending hospital for their pregnancy scans. We at Catch a Glimpse would like to offer this service in the community.”
