Mental health charity, Imagine Independence, and the LFC Foundation are working together to encourage people to beat the blues and go RED this Blue Monday (21st January) by joining them for a brew at Imagine’s office on Hope Street.

The 21st January has been claimed to be the most depressing day of the year – the date when the Christmas excitement has faded, new year’s resolutions have been broken, the cold weather has set in and credit card bills are landing on doorsteps, with the January payday still feeling far away.

Dealing with challenges like these can have a significant impact on our mental wellbeing, with one in four people experiencing mental health problems during their lifetime.

This free, drop-in event aims to raise awareness of some simple actions that everyone can follow to keep our minds healthy, build our resilience and start 2019 feeling more positive and hopeful.

Members of the Imagine team will be on hand during the day, along with a team of volunteers from the LFC Foundation, to offer mental health advice and give out information about the support and wellbeing activities offered by both organisations to help 2019 get off to a positive start.

So join us for a brew, cake, and a chat to find out more about how you can beat the blues this January.
