Shop Floor are an emerging art duo based in Withington, Manchester. Inspired by Minamilst, Bahaus art work but certainly not limited to this. The company (consisting of Tess Parkinson and Adam Porrino) create a range of pieces, including original paintings, prints, coasters, cards, tote bags and much more. They even create Spotify playlists accompanying their artwork. (Link below)
The work is primarily sold online through Depop and you can keep up to date with their new pieces through Instagram. (See Links below). It is an exciting time for the emergence of Shop Floor into the new Withington creative scene. Local art store ‘A Curious Collection’ stocks their work along with many other pieces from local artists. Shopfloor also regularly sell at the Manchester Makers markets. They have also been featured in playlists from Manchester based Limbo Radio.
Not only this but key Shopfloor piece ‘Adam With Teapot’ even won a place in this years hugely popular Manchester Open Exhibition taking place at HOME Manchester (https://homemcr.org/exhibition/manchester-open/) which attracted huge crowds on its opening night.
