A Legacy of Art, Family, and Culture in the Heart of St. Louis

In the vibrant streets of downtown St. Louis, creativity thrives inside Black Pearl Tattoo Gallery, a shop with a legacy as bold as the ink it creates. Owned and operated by brothers Roland Page Jr. and Robert Jiro Page, the second-generation artists have carried the torch of a 30-year family business, transforming it into a cultural hub that celebrates art, heritage, and community.

The Page brothers took over the business after their father—an industry pioneer and beloved local artist—was stricken with Lupus. Determined to honor his vision while carving their own path, Roland Jr. and Robert infused new energy and innovation into Black Pearl. Their leadership has not only preserved their family’s name but elevated the shop into one of the most respected tattoo studios in St. Louis.

Roland Jr., the eldest, brings a unique creative flair shaped by his background as a former hip-hop artist, who twice made it onto the Billboard charts. His artistic vision blends music, culture, and fine art—creating pieces that tell stories and resonate deeply with clients. Robert, the younger brother, showcases his versatility not only through intricate tattoo work but also as a skilled body piercer and auto vinyl wrap artist, proving that his creativity knows no bounds.

What truly sets Black Pearl apart, though, is its commitment to inclusivity and connection. The Page brothers take immense pride in serving a culturally diverse clientele, treating each customer like family. Their clients often say that once you get tatted at Black Pearl, you never go anywhere else—a testament to the warm, welcoming atmosphere the brothers have built.

Today, Black Pearl Tattoo Gallery stands as more than just a tattoo shop—it’s a living legacy of art, family, and perseverance. From stunning custom tattoos to exclusive artwork and piercings, the Page brothers continue to raise the bar for creativity in St. Louis, proving that true art runs in the blood.
