    WHAT A WEDDING

Omar Parker, media executive and acclaimed film producer hosted an open to the press wedding in San Antonio in late May of 2022.

Parker began producing in 2015 at the young age of seventeen. Fast forward seven years later and he has co-founded a production company, produced nearly 40 titles that have been official selections of festivals like Cannes, Sundance, and Tribeca and can be seen on platforms like Amazon Prime and Tubi. He also has won a Silver Play Button award from YouTube for his side project Captain’s Log that he created as a bored quarantine project, and is currently a media executive for allrites.com.

More recently though, in an accomplishment he says he is most proud of, he has just gotten married. Omar Parker and Bridgett Zahniser have been dating for nearly five years now but Parker says it still feels like they started dating yesterday. They met in a television production class at Montana State University led by Eric Hyppa, now head of NETA. Parker was the teacher’s assistant and Zahniser was a year younger, taking the class for the first time. They began dating and haven’t looked back.

Last September, Parker enlisted the help of numerous celebrities that were Zahniser’s favorites including Jon Taffer, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, James Cosmo, & Heidi Wattney to help him propose in Dallas at the Reunion Tower.

Fast forward to May and they hosted their wedding on the iconic San Antonio riverwalk & their reception at the Tower of the Americas. Parker said “Once I did the proposal at the Reunion Tower in Dallas I knew we had to do something with the Tower of the Americas. It was a great way to bookend the proposal and wedding.”  The reception lasted nearly four hours. Parker said “ We rented out basically the entire restaurant up there. It was a great time, I think it will be a night I will never forget.” In some ways this has to be true. The event and reception were filled with film executives and actors. In some ways not. According to Chart House located at the top of the Tower of the Americas, the party cleaned out the liquor cabinet, going through over 120 bottles. One waitress said, “We were having to take elevator trips down and back up just to go find more bottles of wine in storage.”

Shortly after the couple was up and moving to the airport. Their honeymoon took place in the scenic St. Thomas at the Bolongo Bay resort. The new Mrs. Parker had nothing but great things to say about the island. “It was incredible. The beaches are lovely, the water is clear, the locals are all so welcoming and friendly, and of course open bars are always a win.” Truly a wedding & honeymoon to remember.
