She curates unique and exclusive events including Clueless, a monthly 2000s party with special appearances by known drag queens. Bonnie Beats spins at Miami Bars and Venues such as Coyo Taco, 1-800 Lucky, and Oasis Wynwood in South Florida.
Most recently, Bonnie Beats announced a monthly 12-hour musical set that showcases emerging DJs from different states and musical genres led by her and Negra Fabulosa. The event takes place at 1-800 Lucky in Miami, Florida. Brenda, most commonly known by her DJ stage name “Bonnie Beats,” has a knack for curating events and leads the way within the Miami Party Scene.
“I put in a lot of hours, to ensure deserving talent gets listening time in front of audiences,” says Bonnie Beats. “I am either collaborating with amazing DJs to bring them to parties in Miami or I’m spinning multiple parties in one week myself. The 12-hour event has talented Latin DJs that are paving the way further for future women in the nightlife industry,” she adds.
Bonnie Beats’ talent has opened opportunities for her such as working on A Tiny Audience for HBOMax and DJing at special events where celebrities are in attendance. Her humble persona makes her strive to help musical artists land in Miami with a gig at a local party. She helps find talent from places such as Puerto Rico or even California and invites them to spin at local bars and venues.
Bonnie Beats can be found educating bar-goers in Miami on new musical genres by curating music that includes Latin, World Bass, and Perreo. She then watches in amazement as the crowd goes wild, listening to music they probably hadn’t heard before.
