    Growing Sudley Nature Workshops in Liverpool

    Growing Sudley are hosting a series of fundraiser events towards the end of July for families, adults and children focusing on nature, mindfulness and wellness.

    All events will take place at Sudley Walled Garden, Sudley Estate, Mossley Hill Road, Liverpool, L18 8BX. Tickets can be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/growing-sudley-cic-31408500183 and ask for a donation of a minimum of £10.

    Events include:

    Movement and Creative Mindfulness by Growing Sudley- Join Hearts & Minds Wellbeing’s Laura for a family wellbeing session aimed at children aged 5-9. Thu, 22 July 2021, 16:00 – 17:30 BST

    Nature’s Apothecary by Growing Sudley- Medical Herbalist Sue Sprung gives us an introduction into the world of herbal healing. We all love herbs, but how many plants do we walk past with noticing every time we walk in the park, which have healing properties? Sat, 24 July 2021, 11:00 – 13:00 BST

    Menopause Wellness by Growing Sudley-

    Join us to explore how to support our amazing bodies and minds during Menopause and Peri-Menopause

    Are you struggling with raging hormones? Finding you have lots of other ‘unexplained’ ailments? Not coping with things you used to cope with? You’re riding the menocoaster, and you want to get off? Join us to share experiences and channel your own sense of empowerment around this transition phase in life.     The Wisdom of Weeds by Growing Sudley- Come and discover the wonder and wisdom of weeds, and celebrate these amazing resilient plants!     Pilates in the Garden by Growing Sudley- Nic Parker leads a garden Pilates session, a lovely pre-tea treat for mind and body. Tue, 27 July 2021, 16:00 – 17:00 BST

    Forest School Storytime by Growing Sudley- Forest School Leader Liz McCreery ends the day with nature-themed story time for little ones ages 3-7 years. Wed, 28 July 2021, 14:00 – 15:30 BST

    Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) by Growing Sudley- Shinrin Yoku, the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing, with Barbara Shields. Enjoy some tree love with Barbara Shields. Shinrin Yoku is the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing, sharing energy and mindful connection with trees. We’ll do some Qi Gong movements in the woodland, the ancient health practice that forms part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Literally translating to something like ‘energy work’, Qi Gong could be described as meditation in motion and helps to balance, destress and mobilise body and mind. With trees, double good.     Foraging Workshop by Growing Sudley- Wil Goodwin from Merseyside Foraging Network guides us on a wild food hunt around Sudley Estate.     Baby Yoga in the Garden by Growing Sudley-

    Join Nicola from Strengthening Wellbeing Together, for this Baby Yoga session, providing stretches for babies and parents alike! Baby Yoga movements are designed to help strengthen your baby’s bones and muscle tone and develop co-ordination and sensory-motor skills. Doing this also provides gentle stretches for parents, as well as allowing you to bond, listen to birdsong and connect with nature together. Suitable from 6 wks to crawling!     Kids Campfire Tea by Growing Sudley- Come and celebrate Saturday evening with us by cooking your own campfire tea! Sat, 31 July 2021, 16:30 – 18:00 BST

    All practitioners are donating their time for free, and funds from this event will be in support of the community crowdfunder to fund renewable technology to make our refurbishment of a derelict building low carbon for a greener future – for more information see www.spacehive.com/growingsudleyeco

    All events and activities will be risk assessed and supervised by staff with DBS enhanced disclosure. We will operate under government guidance on covid, with measures in place to avoid spread. We are outdoors so there is no need to wear a mask unless you wish to, but we ask that households remain socially distanced.
