Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Resha Sukoshi, I’m a cosplayer and aspiring model and actress.

Why do you do what you do?
I started cosplay when I was around 10 officially and I started making my own costumes and doing my makeup and eventually I started taking photos and seeking out help with that. I used modeling as a way to get new photos of my costumes but it also became something I grew to love as well.

    How do you work?
Very hard. I make my own costumes or commission from local talent to give back to my community, and I’ll either take my own photos or I’ll take a few with me to a booked shoot. Most photographers love cosplay!

    What’s your background?
I come from a dysfunctional home with mental illness and abuse. I think that’s why it was so easy to get lost in the fantasy world of cosplay because I had to disconnect from my family mentally and it was always relaxing to me to just go sew when my home life got chaotic.

What work do you most enjoying doing?
Film is the most fun for me, I love acting. I wish I had more opportunities to experience it because it’s always fun to create something unique like a short film or music video with others.

    What themes do you pursue?
I like sci-fi and space, I try to create unique looks that will not only make me look good, but are also fun to wear. I love doing fun stuff with cosplay looks, but I also love to style myself with wacky looks.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

Well I’ve been a maid, a nanny, a pizza delivery girl haha, I have no shame. Some jobs are great for growth and I’ve learned a lot from the people I got to work with as well.

What superpower would you have and why?
Teleportation would make my like so much easier, but I could also help people with it so it’s very practical haha.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

To surround myself with people who are doing what I want to do. I was stuck for years because I had bad friends and absolutely no support system and now I make much better choices with my life.

    Professionally, what’s your goal?
I have always wanted to help people and be on Television, I’m inspired by people who use their platform to build up others and I’m hoping to be a part of that too.
